Board of Education seeks 2020 PRIDE Award nominations

The District 200 Board of Education is seeking nominations from parents, community members and employees for the 2020 PRIDE Awards to be given to outstanding graduating seniors from Woodstock High School and Woodstock North High School.

PRIDE is an acronym for Positive Recognition iDistrict 200 Education, and the awards recognize outstanding achievements in seven categories: Athletics, Community Service, Fine Arts, Personal Achievement, Scholarship, School Service, and Vocational excellence.

A full set of awards will be given out at each high school. Committees comprised of Board members, high school teachers and staff, and administrators will meet in April to select the winners in each category, and the recipients will be announced at the schools’ senior awards programs.

Nominations can be made online, or by downloading and completing a form and returning it to the address indicated.

Please note:  At this point in the process, the Board is accepting only nominations. Please do not submit supporting documentation. Nominated students will receive the information they need to apply, and will have an opportunity to provide recommendations and additional information when they complete their applications.

All nominations must be received on or before Monday, February 24, 2020.  Please note that only one nomination form is necessary in order to submit a student’s name for consideration.

The web link and form are also available at: www.woodstockschools.org/PRIDE.

Please email PRIDE@wcusd200.org with any questions.
