Check out this great article from "The American Magazine" from May, 1954! It tells about the rich history of Westwood as well as the design for the school which was planned by a committee of community members & local farmers led by Superintendent Mary Endres (yes, Mary Endres Elementary School is named after her) & school board president Earl Hughes. Mr. Hughes is the Grandfather-in-law of our very own Kerry Hughes, who is our Library Associate! Construction was completed in 1950 & was built at the same time as Greenwood Elementary School. We're proud to be Westwood Wildcats & to keep offering a great culture & climate for our students' early learning!
