March 28, 2020 - eLearning Information for PreK and K Families

  • Message from Superintendent Moan - March 28, 2020

    Dear Preschool and Kindergarten Families:

We are resuming our eLearning on Monday, March 30 district-wide. Each day, your child’s teacher will share the daily lessons through Class DoJo. For our Prek and Kindergarten students the lessons will be shared each morning by 8:30 a.m.

Teachers will be available throughout the day to answer questions you or your child may have. We understand how busy people are and want to be flexible. If there is something your student needs help with, teachers will be available to help them.

In these stressful times, we don’t want to create more stress for our families, but we do still need to provide educational experiences for our students.  We also want to keep our students connected with their teachers and their classmates.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the building principal by email or me by phone or email with any questions.

    Thank you,

    Mike Moan
    Superintendent

March 28, 2020 - eLearning Information for Elementary Families

  • Message from Superintendent Moan - March 28, 2020

    Dear Elementary School Families:

We are resuming our eLearning on Monday, March 30 district wide.  For our elementary students, their lessons will be shared each morning by 7:30 am. Teachers will also let students know what times during the day students will interact with direct teacher instruction and when students will be able to ask questions of the teachers.

The feedback from all of our stakeholders after our first week of eLearning was the desire for more direct digital interaction and engagement between our students and our teachers and students within a class. We have added tools to help foster that connection, and we believe the eLearning plan allows for better interaction between teachers and students.

Each day, your student will see their lesson plan and when their teachers will be available online for instruction or questions.  We understand how busy people are and that you may not be able to help your student at certain times, that is why we have added the direct time with the teacher.  We also will be flexible.

    Thank you,

    Mike Moan
