PRIDE Award

WHS, D200 & WNHS logos

The Board of Education PRIDE Award was originally created by the District 200 Board of Education in 1990 to honor outstanding graduating seniors. The word “PRIDE” is an acronym that stands for"Positive Recognition iDistrict 200 Education.”

Each year, the District 200 Board of Education PRIDE Award honors one graduating senior at each high school. The award will recognize students who have exhibited true perseverance, showing courage and resilience as they faced life issues and obstacles on their way to receiving their high school diploma.

Recipients will each be invited for recognition at a Board of Education meeting and will receive a medallion to wear at graduation along with a monetary gift of $250.
