High School Summer Courses
Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 offers various summer school courses that provide opportunities for accelerated academic growth, remediation, personal growth, and middle-to-high-school transitions.
Get Ahead/Accelerated courses are available for students at each grade level, from incoming freshmen to seniors. These courses allow students to get ahead by taking a class during summer school, which provides students an opportunity to take more rigorous courses or electives during the regular school year.
Remedial courses are available for students at each grade level, from sophomores to seniors who need to recover credit or remediate skill deficiencies. Students who fail a core course in math or English are strongly encouraged to enroll in summer school.
The Jump Start course is available for incoming freshmen. This course is designed for students who would benefit from a jump start as they transition into high school to help their 9th-grade year go smoothly.
