Mrs. Debbie Schweihs

Mrs. Schweihs grew up in Maine and began playing the saxophone in sixth grade, later adding tenor saxophone in seventh grade. Since then, she has continued to explore a wide variety of instruments. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and her master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.

Mrs. Schweihs has been teaching fifth grade band in District 200 since 1998. She lives in Crystal Lake with her husband Mike, son Nick, and their dog, Toby. While she plays all band instruments, her primary focus is the saxophone, which she also performs on as a member of The Hurricane Saxophone Quartet and during the summer with the Woodstock City Band.

Ms. Amanda Storer

Ms. Storer has been teaching since the fall of 2001. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University and later completed her master’s degree in Music Education at Northern Illinois University in 2005.

Originally from North Chicago, she began playing the trumpet in fifth grade and quickly developed a love for music, both through playing trumpet and singing in choir at school and church.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Storer enjoys spending time outdoors walking, hiking, paddle boarding, and kayaking. She also has a passion for baking and cooking.
