Communications & Community Services
The Department of Communications & Community Services coordinates communication with the school district’s internal and external publics. Major areas of focus include media relations and publicity, print and electronic publications, partnerships and community involvement programs, and special events and projects. The Web Content Managers oversees all D200 websites.
First Class Pass
The First Class Pass is a courtesy pass that is provided at no cost to District 200 residents age 60 and over in recognition of their long-term investment and support of District 200 students and schools. The pass entitles the holder to free admission to regular season home athletic events as well as most plays, musicals, concerts and other special events that are sponsored by the school district’s 12 schools.
Concerts and theatrical performances, and middle school athletics are posted on the website Monthly Events Calendars. Information is also available on the D200 Fine Arts page. High School sports information is on the WHS and WNHS athletics websites.
Applications for a First Class Pass are available at all District 200 schools, at the District Office at 2990 Raffel Road, or by calling the Community Services Department at 815-337-5147.
D200 Education Foundation
The District 200 Education Foundation is a private, not-for-profit organization which was formed in 1993 to enhance and enrich the educational programs offered to students in District 200’s twelve schools. With the motto of “Making Things Happen That Ordinarily Would Not” the Foundation plans activities and attracts donations to fund programs and services that are not covered by the regular school district budget. Since 1994, the organization has awarded more than $600,000 in grants to District 200 teachers for innovative projects and activities.
