Fine Arts
The profound impact of arts education on children and youth follows them throughout their lives. Arts education rewards our children by helping them to reach practical goals such as academic achievement and career success. Arts education enriches our youth with social, cultural and emotional benefits.
We are very proud of our tradition of excellence in the fine arts. We have choral music, band, jazz, orchestra, theatre, and visual arts programs throughout the district, beginning with our youngest students. We have a long history of award-winning programs, and we love to share our students’ talents with our community.
As the new school year progresses, we will use this space to share and feature information about what’s happening in the arts in D200. For now, take a look at the fall semester calendar to get an idea of the programs and performances happening during the first part of the 2024-25 school year.

District Music Festivals
Each spring, District 200 presents three musical festivals – the Choral Festival, Band Festival, and Orchestra Festival. Visit our Festival page for more details, plus photos and videos from the programs.
High School Musical
This year's High School Musical, featuring performers from both WHS and WNHS, is Chicago: The Musical.
