Assessment Information

District 200 administers a variety of assessments to give students, parents, and staff valuable insight into student performance. Assessment results are used to:

  • Place students in appropriate courses
  • Identify areas where additional instruction may be needed
  • Monitor academic growth over time
  • Measure progress toward district and state standards
  • Provide data to strengthen curriculum and instruction
  • Support post-secondary educational and career planning

These district-wide assessment programs are coordinated for all students from Pre-K through 12th grade:

  • The State of Illinois Assessment Program follows the requirements set by the State Board of Education.
  • College-Bound Assessments support students in planning for their post-secondary education. These optional tests—such as the ACT and SAT—require students to register directly with the testing companies
