Welcome

D200 Superintendent Michael Moan

Michael Moan, EdD.,
Superintendent

Welcome to Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 where our top priority is the achievement of all students. From early childhood education to dual language, bilingual and gifted programs, to Advanced Placement classes, college preparatory, career and technical training and special needs programs, District 200 schools offer programs and opportunities for every child to succeed. We combine a focus on reading, writing and mathematics with a broad range of electives and utilize technology as an integral part of the daily learning experience.

A quality and caring staff, voted our school district’s greatest strength in numerous community surveys, goes the extra mile to bring out the best in every student, and a supportive community helps enhance those efforts. A new five year Strategic Plan for the district was approved in 2015. A committee comprised of community members, district staff, parents, students and Board representatives was involved in the process of creating a document which identifies the vision, mission, goals and priorities of our district.

In District 200 we place a strong emphasis on best practices and data-driven decision-making. Through prudent and sound fiscal management, the Board of Education has provided the necessary resources to support a strong educational system.

We are very proud of our students, our staff and our school district and invite you to learn more about us. Please feel free to contact me or any other administrator if you have any questions or cannot find the information you need on our website.
