Registration

  • Registration for the 2018-19 school year will be conducted via an online system. The 2018-19 registration process will begin on April 9, 2018 with grades 1-8.  Parents of students in grades 1-8 will receive an email and a letter containing a unique "SnapCode" for each child.  This code will be used when you log into the online system.  High school registration will begin in June.

    New Student Registration

    For returning students, the registration system includes the current information the school has about your child. You will need to verify and/or correct the information provided. Your child’s assigned school for next year is also indicated on the online registration forms.  Questions about this assignment should be directed to your child’s school. Lastly, parents will be given an option to pay their registration fees through the online registration system.  The system accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Information is also included for parents to choose an alternate form of payment - check, cash, payment plan, or apply for a fee waiver.  If you choose to pay fees at a later date, return to this page. Registration Assistance

  • There are several resources available to assist with online registration.

    • Each school will have Chromebooks in the main office for parents who would like assistance with the registration process.  These will be available during normal school hours when the school is open.

    • The District Office will also have Chromebooks available for parents who would like assistance.  These will be available during normal office hours and throughout the summer.

Information for Families New to District 200

  • Welcome to District 200!

    In D200, all kindergarten students attend the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center.  For all other grades, please contact the District Tranpsportation Department at 815-338-4777.  Using your address of your residence (or the residence you are considering, if you are moving to Woodstock), the Transportation Dept. will search the attendance boundary maps and confirm the correct school(s) for attendance for your child(ren). 

    Required documentation for first-time registration

    1. When enrolling their child(ren) in District 200 schools for the first time, parents must show three proofs of residency within District 200 from the examples below: 
      • Drivers license
      • Home ownership title or deed (or signed closing statement)
      • Apartment lease
      • Utility bill (water, gas, electric)
      • Automobile insurance
    2. Birth certificate – certified original copy (hospital copy not accepted).
    3. Physical examination – required for all students entering pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades and for any student registering from outside of Illinois or outside of the country. Must be signed by an Illinois physician.
    4. Dental examination – required for students entering kindergarten, second and sixth grade and for all new out-of-state students .
    5. Proof of immunizations against communicable diseases as required by the Illinois Department of Health – required for students entering pre-kindergarten, kindergarten or first grade, sixth and ninth grade and for all new out-of-state students.
    6. Eye examinations are now required for students entering kindergarten and for all new out of state students. Eye exams must be completed by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist.
    7. In some instances, additional documentation may be required.

Fees & Payment Information

  • Parents will have the option to pay fees through the online registration system.  The system accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  Information is also included for parents to choose an alternate form of payment (check, cash, payment plan), or to apply for a fee waiver.

    • Kindergarten and Grades 1-5: $130.00
    • Grades 6-8: $130.00
    • Grades 9-12:  $180.00

    Bus Information

    Bus Assignments

    Bus assignments will be available on the district website the first week of August. A Student ID number will be required to access transportation information.

    Fee Busing

    Families who live outside 1.5 miles from their assigned school may be eligible for fee busing. Fee busing is permitted if a current route is available and there is room on the bus. The cost for this service is $76.00 one way and $152.00 round trip per semester. Please contact the Transportation Department 815-338-4777 for eligibility and more information.

    Elementary Classroom Assignments

    Classroom assignments will be mailed to parents on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

    Elementary Class Size

    To help balance class size at all elementary schools, online student registration submitted after April 27, 2018 and students new to the district may be placed at a different elementary school depending on classroom enrollment at each school and in each grade level. Once students are assigned to a school due to overflow issues, the students will continue attending the school to which they were assigned.   Any parent who wishes to transfer their student back to their home boundary school or another school will need to complete a special permission form and submit it to the Superintendent’s Office.   Decisions regarding special permission will be made after the registration process is completed. Priority for special permission will be given to those students who were displaced due to overflow.

    Food Service Information and MealTime Online 

    MealTime Online enables parents to make prepaid deposits and payments on balances for student school lunch accounts, conveniently, safely and securely.  For information about MealTime Online, menus, and other related issues, please visit Food Services.

    School Lunch Accounts

    A statement about the current status of your child’s school lunch account will be sent with his/her report card at the end of the year. Remaining balances will be transferred to the school your child will be attending in the fall. 

    Free and/or Reduced Price Lunches and Breakfasts

    Families who qualify will receive a Direct Certification letter from the District 200 Food Services Department by August 6, 2018. If you do not receive this letter and you choose to apply for free and/or reduced price lunches and breakfasts, you may obtain an application at any school, the District Office. The application form will be included here as soon as it becomes available for 2018-19. 

    Physical Exams and Immunizations

    Physical exams and up-to-date immunizations are required for all students entering pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, sixth and ninth grade and for any student entering District 200 from outside of Illinois. Dental examinations are required for students in kindergarten, second and sixth grade. Students entering kindergarten and those entering District 200 from out of state must also have an eye exam completed by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist. Physical, dental and eye examination forms are due on the first day of school.
