Kindergarten in District 200 is a full-day program, held at the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center, 2045 N. Seminary Avenue.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-25 School Year

Welcome to Kindergarten at Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center!
To be eligible to attend Kindergarten during the 2024-25 school year, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024.
In addition to completing the online registration process, the following is required for all children new to District 200 (i.e., if your child did not attend D200 preschool, and has not been previously registered in this district).
- State law requires an original or certified copy of a birth certificate at the time of registration; your child will not be registered without one. Hospital certificates are not acceptable.
- Proof of residency within D200 boundaries is required (driver’s license, utility bill, apartment lease, home ownership title or deed or automobile insurance).
- Health requirements include current physical, vision and dental exams, prior to admission.
Beginning on March 7, we will collect paperwork on school days between the hours of 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Please come to Door #1. We will make copies and return your documents to you. Registration links will be posted on this page when online registration for the district opens.

Informational Meetings for Parents
Informational meetings for parents interested in Kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year will be held on Thursday, March 7. There will be both onsite and virtual opportunities.
Staff with be onsite to assist with required registration paperwork and to provide support with online registration.
♦ Onsite Informational Meeting and Dual Language Meeting in both Spanish and English
- There is an onsite general information meeting for all Kindergarten parents on Thursday, March 7 at 4:00 p.m.
- For parents interested in the Dual Language Program the Mandatory Dual Language meeting will be held immediately following the general information meeting for Kindergarten parents on March 7. As a reminder, If you have a current student in the Dual Language program you DO NOT need to attend the mandatory meeting.
♦ Virtual Informational Meeting and Dual Language Meeting in both Spanish and English
- There is a virtual general information meeting for all Kindergarten parents on Thursday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m.
- For parents interested in the Dual Language Program the virtual Mandatory Dual Language meeting will be held immediately following the general information meeting for Kindergarten parents. If you have a current student in the Dual Language program you DO NOT need to attend the mandatory meeting.

Kindergarten Families with children currently attending District 200

If you currently have one or more children registered and attending in District 200, please use this link to register for the 2024-25 school year.
- Families with children currently attending D200 will register via their PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Families who have children currently in the district, who also have a new Kindergarten student entering the district for the first time in 2024-25, will be able to register their current child(ren) and then add their new K student to their profile, and register that student as well.
- Upon log-in, parents will see a new link in the system in the bottom left corner titled - Returning student Registration 2024-2025.

- Families who are new to District 200 (who have never previously registered a student in the district) or families who may have been registered at some point in the past, but do not currently have a child registered/attending school in D200 will use the link below to access registration.
