2023-24 Assessment Schedule
ACT & SAT

ACT – Register and find test dates at www.actstudent.org
SAT – Register at http://sat.collegeboard.org/register and find test dates
PSAT/NMSQT - (DATE TBA) - Optional for ALL JUNIORS and Sophomores
Preliminary SAT - this is an optional aptitude test for juniors and interested sophomores. This is the test used by the National Merit Scholarship organization.
SAT Prep Sessions
WHS staff will be offering 10 hours of SAT prep study sessions to juniors.

Interested juniors should contact the Main Office.
SAT TEST PREP - SAT 1600
Since 1987 Woodstock High School has teamed with ExcelEdge to bring test prep programs to our students. SAT 1600 is an eight-week course taught one night per week during January, February, and March to prepare students to tackle the SAT with confidence. This year they will be following a virtual format and students will be able to choose the day of the week that best fits their schedule.

Students will be able to enroll by credit card on the ExcelEdge website or with cash or check in the WHS Main Office.
Other SAT prep options include sessions at MCC, Sylvan Learning Center, Huntington Learning Center, www.actstudent.org, www.march2success.com, prep books at local libraries and book stores.
SAT - March 2024
All WHS juniors will take the SAT in March 2024 at WHS starting at 8:20am. Students do NOT need to register for the exam, that will be taken care of through the school.
Many times students choose to take the SAT or ACT more than once. Students who are interested in becoming a teacher should also plan to take the essay portion of the SAT or ACT since this component may meet testing requirements during college.

AP Exams

AP EXAMS - MAY 6-17, 2024
Click here to see the schedule of AP tests. Morning tests at WHS begin at 8:20am. Afternoon tests usually begin at 12:30pm.

ASVAB

ASVAB - March 8, 2024 - Available to Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a broad-based career exploration tool that tests a students aptitudes in various areas. The results can help students narrow down future career interests. This is also the test that all branches of the military use to determine career placement for active military members.
Interested students can sign up in the Student Services Office until the day before the test.
ACCESS & Proficiency Testing

ACCESS
Limited English Proficient students will be taking the annual ACCESS test throughout January and early February. This assessment measures English language proficiency through Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking. Students who are required to take this test will receive notice about the date, time and location for the exams.
Proficiency Testing for Classes Taken Outside of District 200
Students are allowed to take courses outside of D200 and transfer them back to WHS. In this situation, students need to obtain prior approval and follow the necessary steps. The pre-approval form and details can be found on this Alternative Credit form.
