Woodstock School District 200

PRIDE Awards

The PRIDE Awards were created by the District 200 Board of Education in 1990 to honor outstanding graduating seniors. The word, “PRIDE” is an acronym that stands for “Positive Recognition in District 200 Education.” Awards are given in seven different categories which represent the qualities the Board believes the community truly values in its graduates: scholarship, personal achievement, vocational excellence, fine arts, community service, school service and athletics.

Award winners are selected each spring by committees of school board members, high school staff, community members and district administrators. PRIDE Award winners are announced at the annual Senior Awards Assemblies and winners receive a special medallion to wear at graduation.

2017 PRIDE Awards

The Board of Education is now seeking nominations for the 2017 PRIDE Awards. Nomination forms have been mailed to parents/guardians of all graduating seniors.

The form may also be downloaded below.  To nominate a WHS or WNHS senior for one or more of these awards, please complete this form and return it to: District 200 Board of Education PRIDE Committee, 227 W. Judd Street, Woodstock, IL 60098, or download, complete and save it, and return via email to: PRIDE@wcusd200.org. All mailed forms and email submissions must be received on or before Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

Please Note:
Last year, a few people inadvertently emailed back a blank form, not realizing that their work wasn’t saved.  To send the form via email, it is important to follow these steps:

  • Download the form
  • Before typing in it, use the “Save as” command to save it to your computer with a new name (for example, “PRIDE Nominations”)
  • Open the saved (new name) version and type into it
  • When complete, save again and then send as an email attachment to PRIDE@wcusd200.org

Please email PRIDE@wcusd200.org, or call 815-337-5147 with any questions or concerns.
