Woodstock High School Earns National Recognition - Ranked #39 in State of Illinois

Woodstock High School has earned a 39th place ranking among high schools in the state of Illinois in the recently released US News & World Report “Best High School Rankings.” This is the third consecutive year that WHS has been named a Silver Award winner by US News. The high school ranking report is based upon analysis of data on more than 22,000 public high schools across the country and the District of Columbia.  According to US News, “We ranked more than 6,000 schools – only those that the data indicated were exemplary.”

The rankings are based on reading and math results in state proficiency exams, graduation rates, and college readiness based upon test data from Advanced Placement (AP) examinations.

WHS Principal Dr. Justin Smith stated, “Being recognized by U.S. News and World Report for the third consecutive year is truly an honor.  It serves as a testament to the rich educational experiences provided at Woodstock High School, exemplifies our staff’s dedication to high level instruction and demonstrates our students' commitment to learning." To view the entire report, see: www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools.
