Woodstock School District 200

For Families

Parents Are Partners

Parents are a child’s first and most important teacher. At District 200, we believe that responsibility does not end when your child enters school and that it should continue throughout your child’s entire school career. Research shows a direct connection between student success in school and the level of parent involvement in their child’s education at home. Students whose parents and family members support and participate in their education have:

  • higher grades and test scores
  • better attendance
  • more positive attitudes and behavior
  • higher graduation rates
  • greater enrollment in post-secondary education.

Our teachers and our staff want to work with you to help your student achieve his/her highest level of success. We encourage all families to:

  1. Stay informed about what’s happening at your child’s school.
  2. Develop a working relationship with your child’s teachers.
  3. Participate in school events.
  4. Communicate regularly with your child and with the school staff and school district.

This section contains useful information and resources that will help us accomplish that mission together.
