District 200’s strategic plan was approved by the Board of Education in July 2008 and serves as the blueprint for continuous improvement, decision-making and resource allocation. The document was created by a 68-member Strategic Planning Committee following a comprehensive community engagement process during which over 4,400 parents, students and staff provided input on what the school district’s highest priorities should be.
The Committee created Vision and Mission Statements which identify the ultimate goal, purpose and function of District 200 as well as nine Beliefs which reflect the district’s core values and convictions. Fourteen goals are centered around seven key priorities: Curriculum and Instruction; Technology; Exemplary Employees; Educational Environment; Communication and Engagement; Economic and Cultural Diversity; and Funding and Finance.
